February 10 A cordon and search operation (CASO) has been launched by Government Forces in Sopore area of North Kashmir's Baramulla District Sources told The Kashmiriyat that on Wednesday afternoon morning, 22 RR of Indian Army, CRPF and Jammu Kashmir Police jointly launched a search operation in Thakkgund Area of Sopore in North Kashmir's Baramulla District. Indian Army Likely to Get Drones to Monitor Militant Activity

September 07 Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Thursday said the government will soon frame and implement a drone policy and go for a technological upgradation to monitor militant activities, specially in Jammu and Kashmir, Gujarat and Assam. The Minister said the new policy will unveil comprehensive regulations on the use of drones which are being increasingly inducted into the Indian security establishment to monitor sensitive and vulnerable areas prone to security risks, including thick and dense jungles in Maoist-affected areas where physical monitoring is extremely difficult.
