Kashmir Crackdown- Top Sufi Cleric Arrested During Nocturnal Raid in Pulwama

Amid an intense crackdown against religious outfits in the Kashmir valley, the Government Forces arrested a prominent sufi cleric, Mohammed Amin from his home in Dangarpora area of Pulwama in South Kashmir.
Mohammed Amin, who is one of the most prominent preachers of this South Kashmir leads prayers at the prime Khankah-e-Mir Sahab (Alaihi Rahma) in Washbugh Pulwama. Known for his fearless speeches and vocal support to the families of conflict victims, Moulana Amin has always been a staunch supporter of people's struggles.
Aged 52, he has been leading prayers in this South Kashmir district for more than 15 years and also runs an Islamic centre in the Wasibugh area.
