Former MP Fayaz Mir rejoins PDP

Former member parliament (MP) Fayaz Ahmad Mir on Sunday rejoined Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). Sources told news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), that Mir was in touch with several parties over the past few months. According to sources, he had reportedly expressed his desire to join the National Conference and held a meeting with its two leaders in Jammu. “He had asked these leaders to convince the party high command to give him Lok Sabha ticket from Baramulla parliamentary segment or assembly ticket from Kupwara segment but they didn't agree to the proposal ,” sources said. Man who stabbed his uncle to death in Srinagar arrested: Police

A man has been arrested for stabbing his uncle to death during a fight in Hafta Yarbal locality of Srinagar’s Safakadal on Sunday morning even as further probe is going on, police said. An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that an altercation broke out between a butcher namely Irfan Ahmad Ganie and his uncle Nisar Ahmad Ganie, and Irfan’s another uncle Fayaz Ahmad Ganie - the victim - tried to intervene but was stabbed by Irfan. Night temp rises, MeT says ‘no significant’ weather activity expected in J&K till March 27

While weatherman ruled out any significant weather activity till March 27 evening, night temperature recorded an increase with mercury settling above sub-zero level in Jammu and Kashmir including Gulmarg and Pahalgam on Sunday. KPDCL suspends 15 more employees, initiates disciplinary proceedings

The Kashmir Power Development Corporation Limited (KPDCL) Saturday suspended its fifteen more employees and initiated disciplinary proceedings against them. JKSCERT postpones exam of all papers of 8th Class except for English subject
