Amid the growing Anti Militancy Operations and the Director General's Constant requests to the youth to stay away from Militancy, more youth are picking up Guns and strengthening the Militant ranks.
Figures available to The Kashmiriyat suggest that more than 87 youth have joined Militant ranks this year in Kashmir and the majority of them is from the four districts of South Kashmir where Militancy has seen a rapid rise post the encounter of Burhan Wani on 08 July, 2016.
On March 19, three youth identified as Tawseef Ahmad Dar son of Abdul Rashid Dar, Adil Ahmad Bhat son of Ghulam Hassan Bhat, and Sameer Ahmad Dar (MSc Geology student) son of Mohammad Subhan Bhat, all residents of Gandibagh Kakpora in Pulwama had gone missing.
