Another Educated Shopian Youth Joins Al Badr

July 23 A youth from Malikgund area of South Kashmir's Shopian has joined Militant outfit Al Badr Mujahideen, making him the 5th youth from South Kashmir to join the Militant outfit. Locals from the Malikgund area told The Kashmiriyat that the joining of Sheikh Waqar has left the whole area in shock as he was very helping in nature and has no other brothers, only three sisters. Waqar Ahmed Sheikh son of Mohammed Aslam Sheikh has released his photograph with an AK 47 announcing his entry to the outfit. July 17 The Government Forces on Tuesday Night have launched a cordon and search operation in Chanigam, Pahalgamarea of South Kashmir's Islamabad (Anantnag)n District. 467 Local Youth have Joined Militancy Since 2010, 335 from South Kashmir

July 16 The Kashmir valley has been seeing a constant rise in the number of Militant recruitment after the fall the summer uprising of 2010. Reports estimate that as many as 467 local youth have become militants out of whom them 335 have come from 247 villages in South Kashmir. A report by Indian agencies has spotlighted the spread of the militancy that was quelled in 2010, but surged after the killing of Hizbul Mujahideen commander Burhan Wani on July 8, 2016. July 15 The Government forces have launched a Cordon and search operation in Arihal Dangerpora Area in South Kashmir's Pulwama District on Sunday. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that 55 RR of Indian Army, Jammu Kashmir Police and CRPF laid down the Search operation jointly. "The Operation was launched after troopers received a specific input about Militant movement in the area," Sources said.
