Youth from Native of Burhan Wani Joins Hizb ul Mujahideen

July 11 Another Youth from South Kashmir has joined Militant ranks making him one of the at least hundred youth to have joined Militant ranks this year. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that Jahangeer Ahmed Wani, a resident of Ameerabad Tral area in Pulwama has joined Militant outfit, Hizb ul Mujahideen. The 23 year old, a 12th class pass out was missing from his home in Ameerabad Tral area of Pulwama. 73 Local Militants Killed this Year, At Least 100 Joined

July 11 73 Local Militants have been killed since January this year. The forces also eliminated two militants in gunfight at Shopian district on Tuesday, taking the total numbers at 108, 23 Government Force personnel have also been killed during these operations. Massive Clashes Erupt Near Gunfight Sight. At least 4 Injured

July 10 At least four persons have been injured during intense clashes that erupted near the encounter site in Kundalan area of South Kashmir's Shopian District. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that intense clashes erupted as soon as the news of Militants being trapped in the area spread. Youth in large numbers hit the streets shouting Pro Freedom and Pro Islam slogan, the forces deployed in the area fired tear smoke shells to disperse the protesters. Hospital Officials at Shopian confirmed to The Kashmiriyat that four civilians out of whom one has been referred to Srinagar for treatment were brought to the hospital from the encounter site.

Massive Gunfight Breaks out in North Kashmir

July 08 An encounter has started between Militants and Government Forces in Khanpora Magam in Handwara area of North Kashmir's Kupwara District Official sources told The Kashmiriyat that RR of Indian Army, Jammu Kashmir Police and CRPF jointly launched the Anti Militancy operation. The Encounter started when Militants fired on a patrolling party of Government forces near the forest area. July 07 Unidentified persons hurled a grenade on a CRPF Camp in Kakpora area of South Kashmir's Pulwama District on Saturday.
