Protests to Be Held At Delhi Against Pulwama Killings

December 19 A protest march has been organized in New Delhi's Jantar Mantar against the "gruesome" murder of seven civilians in Pulwama on Saturday. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that the march has been candle light vigil and protest demonstration has been organized by a group of Civil Society Organization including the People's Union for Civil Liberties, National Alliance of People's Movements. The March is scheduled to start in about 4:30 pm at the Delhi's Jantar Mantar and is expected to be attended by both Kashmiri and Non Kashmiri Participants. The Killing of seven civilians at the hands of Government Forces in Sirnoo area of South Kashmir's Pulwama District has evoked widespread condemnation. (The Kashmiriyat)

16 Year old Young Boy Lynched in Indian Capital On Suspicion Of Being Thief

September 04 A teenager who had entered a house to allegedly steal valuables, was lynched by locals in northwest Delhi's Mukundpur in the early hours on Tuesday, following which three people were arrested, the police said. Deputy commissioner of police (Northwest) Aslam Khan said the 16-year-old boy had entered a house to steal valuables, but was caught by the owner and beaten to death by some locals. A case has been registered at the Bhalaswa Dairy police station in this regard. Three of the accused have been arrested while three others are absconding, the police official said. (PTI)
