July 19 The report published by the Central Investigation Department recently revealing that funerals and encounter are fuelling Militant recruitment is finding recognition with every passing day as more youth continue to flank Militant ranks after every encounter. Amid these growing encounters two more youth from South Kashmir districts of Shopian and Islamabad (Anantnag) have joined the Militant ranks. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that Adil Ahmed Dass son of Abdul Rehman Dass, a resident of Waghama in Bijbehara area in Islamabad (Anantnag) District has joined Militant outfit Lashkar e Taiba. 30- Mostly Islamic Channels to be Banned in Jammu Kashmir

July 18 In order to tackle the unrest in Jammu Kashmir, the state Governor has ordered the closure of 30 Pakistani and Islamic channels from cable operators of the Valley. These channels have been banned in the instructions issued by the Home Department. The Department said that these channels are in danger of peace and harmony. After the order of the Home Department, it is believed that the cable operators will meet on Wednesday and discuss the latest developments. They say that many people see these channels, so they may have to suffer loss due to state government's decision. Indian Allegations on UN Report are Baseless, Untrue-Says UN

July 18 The United Nations Human rights Council has refuted the allegations made by India and the Indian Media and stood by its Kashmir report- the first ever UN Human Rights report on Kashmir. The Indian Authorities including the Indian Army chief had called the report "Politically motivated" and the Indian media ran constant stories against the report released by the United Nations on June 14. The outgoing human rights chief had called for an international commission of inquiry into the allegations, but it wasn’t taken up during the last session which ended on July 6. Youth Killed In Army firing at Trehgam

July 11 A civilian has been shot dead during the clashes in Trehgam area of North Kashmir's Kupwara District on Wednesday. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that a civilian identified as Khalid Gaffar was shot by government forces as clashes erupted in Trehgam area.
