467 Local Youth have Joined Militancy Since 2010, 335 from South Kashmir

July 16 The Kashmir valley has been seeing a constant rise in the number of Militant recruitment after the fall the summer uprising of 2010. Reports estimate that as many as 467 local youth have become militants out of whom them 335 have come from 247 villages in South Kashmir. A report by Indian agencies has spotlighted the spread of the militancy that was quelled in 2010, but surged after the killing of Hizbul Mujahideen commander Burhan Wani on July 8, 2016. The report reveals that Pulwama district in South Kashmir tops the list, with 142 local youth from having joined militancy since 2010. Massive Stone Pelting During CASO in Pulwama Area

July 15 The Government forces have launched a Cordon and search operation in Arihal Dangerpora Area in South Kashmir's Pulwama District on Sunday. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that 55 RR of Indian Army, Jammu Kashmir Police and CRPF laid down the Search operation jointly. "The Operation was launched after troopers received a specific input about Militant movement in the area," Sources said. Massive clashes erupted in the locality as soon Government Forces laid a siege around the area when scores of youth shouting pro freedom slogans hit the streets. A Door to door search operation has been launched in the area.

July 13 Despite repeated verbal attempts of the Director General of Jammu Kashmir Police, SP vaid, Militancy is showing no signs of declination. July 14 Locals in Heff village of South Kashmir's Shopian district exhumed the body of civilian killed by unknown gunmen before 5 days and buried him next to slain HM commander Sadam Padder. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that soon after Friday prayers at least six militants appeared at the graveyard where Tariq was buried and declared him martyr and asked them to bury him next to slain hizb commander Sadam Padder.
