A Gunfight had raged early morning on Tuesday in Shopian District when Militants allegedly opened fire on a party of Government Forces who were conducting a search operation in the Kundalan area. Massive Clashes Erupt Near Gunfight Sight. At least 4 Injured

July 10 At least four persons have been injured during intense clashes that erupted near the encounter site in Kundalan area of South Kashmir's Shopian District. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that intense clashes erupted as soon as the news of Militants being trapped in the area spread. Youth in large numbers hit the streets shouting Pro Freedom and Pro Islam slogan, the forces deployed in the area fired tear smoke shells to disperse the protesters. Hospital Officials at Shopian confirmed to The Kashmiriyat that four civilians out of whom one has been referred to Srinagar for treatment were brought to the hospital from the encounter site.

Massive Gunfight Breaks out in North Kashmir

July 08 An encounter has started between Militants and Government Forces in Khanpora Magam in Handwara area of North Kashmir's Kupwara District Official sources told The Kashmiriyat that RR of Indian Army, Jammu Kashmir Police and CRPF jointly launched the Anti Militancy operation. The Encounter started when Militants fired on a patrolling party of Government forces near the forest area. July 07 Unidentified persons hurled a grenade on a CRPF Camp in Kakpora area of South Kashmir's Pulwama District on Saturday.
