Officials in Kreeri Baramulla in north Kashmir have called for the vacation of state land within three days. A notice issued in Urdu by the concerned Tehsildar warned the "occupants" of the state land to vacate the land within three days. "Otherwise we will be forced to initiate action against the occupants," the notice accessed by The Kashmiriyat read. In pursuance of the JK admin's order to clear the state land before January 31, officials in Baramulla have issued an ultimatum of three days to the local residents of Uri to vacate the land in three days. In an official notice, of which a copy is available with The Kashmiriyat,  the officials in Uri and Boniyar areas of the north Kashmir's Baramulla district asked the people to vacate the state land within three days or else action would be taken against them. Complying with the orders of the administration, the Tehsildar (revenue official) of Bhaderwah district in Chenab valley has ordered the removal of "encroachments" from state/ Roshni/Kahcharai Land by 31 January 2023. More than 100 Kanals of State land and Ghas-charai has been retrieved in Pattan tehsil on Monday, an official said. Tehsildar Pattan, Saqib Murtaza while talking to the media said that they have launched the anti-encroachment drive at different places in the tehsil following the directions of the Jammu Kashmir admin. He said that they have instructions from the government to send all the details daily wise including total retrieval and target. “Rather than getting away from us, you should cooperate with us people so that we can retrieve this land in a friendly way without calling the Police,” Tehsildar told people. A former Legislator from Jammu Kashmir on Sunday condemned the eviction drives initiated by Jammu Kashmir and said "retrieving" land from poor and landless was unfortunate.
