August 01 A Minor girl from Jharkhand in India has alleged three men including two Police officers of raping her and then being blackmailed by them. Reports said that the girl accused three persons along with police station in-charge and a deputy superintendent of police rank officer of rape. The Jamshedpur Police has said that the accused were arrested and sent to judicial custody while a probe has been ordered into the incident after the intervention of Jharkhand Chief Minister, Raghubar Dad.

July 31 A 13-year-old mentally challenged girl was raped by 10 persons, including two minor, for over two months in Meghalaya. The incident came to light after an FIR was lodged by the girl’s family at the Resubelpara police station on Saturday. As per reports, the crime was witnessed by the wife of an accused and she informed the village elders about it. Following this, the family of the girl came to know about the trauma which their daughter was facing since two months. A PTI report states that the family of the girl was called for a meeting by the village heads to discuss over a compromise. However, the family refused to it and lodged an FIR. July 30 In yet another shocking incident, a 16 year old girl who had eloped with her boyfriend on June 30 with her boyfriend in New Delhi was taken to Haridwar by her boyfriend where he sexually assaulted her. They returned back to to Delhi after four days, where the boy met Ravi and he told him that he will get the boy a job, but he also raped the 16 year old girl who narrated her ordeal to Ravi's Live-in partner. Ravi's Live-in partner fed her sedatives with food, After which the accused sold the girl to one Ashok Goyal, who runs a spa and massage parlour in Rohini area of Delhi. July 24 A girl at a government-funded shelter home here has alleged that an inmate was beaten to death and buried in the premises and several other girls were raped, prompting the Bihar police to dig up the ground to look for the body.Sexual exploitation of girls lodged at the shelter home in Bihar had come to light in a social audit by a Mumbai-based institute, following which the state social welfare department lodged an FIR in this connection last month and 10 people were arrested. July 19 A school girl aged 10 was gang-raped by 10 boys until she reached her home after classes. Reports said that the teenager from Bihar in India had left the government high school towards home when the incident happened. She was overpowered by the group who then dragged her into a sugar cane field and repeatedly raped her, reports suggest. Eventually, she fell unconscious. When the teenager regained consciousness, she was warned there would be ‘dire consequences’ if she informed the police.
