The Residents of Tantraypora, Watnard in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district accused Khanday Projects and infrastructures of using poor quality material (GSD) on Bindoo Kokernag to Verinag road constructed under CRF Project.
Residents, on Friday speaking to The Kashmiriyat claimed that quality of the material used by the contractor on road was unsatisfactory. They said that since the road was made out of poor quality of material, there are potholes even before winters.
The residents of other areas also alleged that the contractor had used sub-standard material in the work.
The locals also said that because there was no drainage system, cracks have developed over the road due to the poor quality material.They said that if the poor quality of material will be used further as well, the road might be completely damaged pretty soon.
The residents have appealed to the Deputy Commissioner Anantnag to look into the matter and take action against the department as well as contractor.
