Teacher suspended after complaints of ‘inappropriate chat’ with female students

A teacher of Government Higher Secondary School Shutloo Rafiabad has been suspended after allegations of engaging in indecent and sexually explicit chats with his female students.

The accusations surfaced after parents and children complained to the school administration about the teacher’s alleged inappropriate behaviour. The ‘dirty and sexual’ language of the chats in question distressed the students and their families significantly.

In response to these grave allegations, the education department took swift action and suspended the accused teacher.

A suspension order, a copy of which lies with The Kashmiriyat reads as, “Pending enquiry into the matter, (Name withheld) Teacher Presently posted at HSS Shutloo, is hereby placed under suspension with immediate effect.”

During the period of suspension, the said official shall remain attached in the office of Principal BHSS Sopore, it reads.

Pertinently, the parents staged a protest and demanded enquiry into the matter.
