The National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) has ordered the standard for madrasas as a component of the new educational plan on antiquated Indian information and legacy in the New Education Policy (NEP).
NIOS is has found itself standing against a solid resistance via self-governing madrasas in Uttar Pradesh for its policy to teach Hindu religious book Bhagavad Gita compulsory in 100 autonomous madrasas.
Muslim Clerics so far wouldn’t acknowledge the new educational plan of NIOS. They insist that NIOS has no authority over the madrasa educational program. Nazim (administrator) of Darul Uloom Farangi Mahal a 350-year-old Lucknow-based Islamic theological school, Maulana Khalid Rasheed associated with All India Muslim Personal Law Board said the motivation behind setting up madrasas is to carefully grant Islamic education.
“There are two kinds of madrasas in India; ones represented by the Madrasa Board and others run by the local area all alone. The madrasas administered by the Board will undoubtedly actualize its choices yet others are autonomous to take their own choices. NIOS has no option to give any such instructions to autonomous madrasas,” he asserted,” Rasheed said.
Another Muslim minister Maulana Yasoob Abbas likewise inquired as to whether NIOS needs to show Gita and Ramayana in madrasas, for what reason is it not presenting the Quran in the educational plan of RSS-financed Saraswati Sishu Mandir.

Maulana Yasoob Abbas said on the off chance that anybody attempts to force something on madrasas, the local area will challenge it.
