Teenage Girl Killed Over a Scuffle for Not wearing Mask in Andhra Pradesh

A scuffle over not carrying the face masks amid the ongoing global pandemic Coronavirus ended in the death of a teenage girl in Andhra Pradesh.

Reports said that the teenage girl who sought to save her father from a bunch of attackers in Rentachintala village of Guntur district in Andhra Pradesh was assaulted by four persons.

“She died because of extreme head injuries, the assaulters have been arrested and remanded to judicial custody on Monday for homicide,” police mentioned in their report.

The incident happened a couple of days in the past and the victim was identified as 19-year-old Old Fatima.

According to police, Fatima’s father Yellamanda confronted the ire of some folks close to the village tank early this month when he went there without carrying a face mask.

The group picked up a fight and hit Yellamanda with sticks, Fatima rushed to her father’s rescue however in the melee suffered blows on her head.
