The Kashmiriyat Photographer Injured While Covering Protest in Kunzer

A photographer working for The Kashmiriyat has been injured while covering street protests in Kunzer area of North Kashmir’s Baramulla District.

Sajad Hameed said that while he was covering a protest in the area, a Policeman deployed in the area hit him with a bamboo stick on his arm.

Sajad was immediately rushed to the nearby hospital where the doctors said he escaped a near fracture and has been severely injured.

He was pertinently covering the protest staged by the family members of a youth who went missing on Thursday from the Kunzer area.

Identified as Shakir Mushtaq sheikh son of  Mushtaq Ahmad Sheikh, a resident of Tuk Batpora in Kunzar went missing on Thursday after he left his home.

The Station House Officer of the concerned Police Station upon being contacted said that the incident has not come to his knowledge,

He said that he will look into the matter.
