People from nooks and corners despite strict restrictions imposed in the Islamabad (anantnag) township have flooded the KP road area of this South Kashmir township to offer the funeral prayers of the slain Militant Faisal Nazir.
From Shopian, Kulgam too, people have gathered here in large numbers amid intense pro Independence and Anti India sloganeering in the ground where Faisal’s body lay.
At around 7:30 PM, the body of Faisal reached his home where his mother and father, Nazir Ahmed who is a Policeman burst into tears.
Faisal who had joined Militant outfit Jaish e Muhammad a month ago was killed in an encounter at Kachwan forests of Kokernag area in South Kashmir’s Islamabad (anantnag) District.
The encounter was jointly conducted by troopers from Indian Army’s 19 RR, Jammu Kashmir Police and Central Reserve Police Force on wee hours of Thursday morning.
He had went missing in April and few days, after his photo appeared on the social media, with an AK 47 in his hand.
