Amid utter chaos and confusion, thousands of people gathered since morning in Amshipura as the news of the killing of popular Jaish commander, Shah Jahan Mir spread in Kashmir.
Locals told The Kashmiriyat that people from as far as Kokernag area of South Kashmir’s Islamabad (anantnag) district have reached the area to offer the funeral prayers of the slain as high pitch pro independence and Anti India slogans reverberated in the area.
Two Families had been called for identification, as per Police, who identified the slain as Shah Jahan Mir and Abid Wagay.
Officials told The Kashmiriyat that the second slain Militant is from Shopian’s Rawalpora and he has been identified as Rayees Ahmed, they said that the identity of another slain could not be confirmed.
A senior Police officer said that the slain are affiliated with Jaish-e-Mohammad outfit, He said that both the bodies were recovered along with weapons and warlike stores.
Shah jahan was one of the most wanted commander, who joined Militant outfit Jaish e Muhammad on 02 September, 2017.
Shah Jahan Mir gained popularity on August 30 last year, when forces tried to set his house ablaze his house in Amshipora Shopian in the dead of the night.
