The Jammu Kashmir Police on Wednesday arrested three persons possessing contraband at Daulatpora, Kreeri in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
An Official told The Kashmiriyat that during a routine naka checking, three persons were intercepted at Daulatpora area, “Upon frisking, five kilograms of poppy straw and 250 grams of charas was recovered from their possession”, the official said.
The three were identified as Adil Ahmad Rather resident of Wagoora, Sajad Ahmad Mir resident of Saloosa and Javid Ahmad Mir, a resident Saloosa.
He said that the vehicle bearing Registration number JK-05F 2490 used by persons was also seized.
An FIR number under sections 8/15,21,29 NDPS Act has been lodged at police station Kreeri and further investigations taken up.
