An encounter has raged between Militants and Government forces in Yaroo area of Langate in north Kashmir’s District Kupwara on Thursday morning.
Earlier officials on Wednesday evening had told The Kashmiriyat that following inputs about Militant movement in the area, the 30 RR of Indian Army, SOG of JK Police and CRPF laid down the Search Operation jointly.
Early morning on Thursday, after nearly twelve hours of search operations, contact was established with the Militants, who had been holed up in the area.
All the entry and exit points of the area have been sealed by the Forces, as two to three Militants were believed to be holed up in the area.
Sources told The Kashmiriyat massive exchange of fire is being heard at the site of the encounter.
Mobile internet services have been snapped in the area.
Meanwhile three Militants have been killed in a separate encounter in Yawran area of Keller in Shopian district where mobile Internet services have been snapped too.
Sources told The Kashmiriyat that on Thursday morning between Militants and 23 Para of Indian Army, CRPF and Jammu Kashmir Police in Keller area of South Kashmir’s Shopian.
