Three ‘most wanted’ drug peddlers arrested from snooker centre in Srinagar: Police

The Jammu Kashmir Police on Friday claimed that they arrested three Drug Peddlers with five grams of heroine in Bemina area of central Kashmir’s Srinagar district.

Police spokesperson said that police station received specific inputs that three drug dealers were sitting in the snooker club and after which the Jammu Kashmir Police raided the place and arrested all the three. One of whom was also the owner of a snooker club.

“It is said snooker had become a hotbed of various immoral activities. It is said that many students, including boys and girls, used to go to the snooker point after passing out of college to indulge in drugs and other social vices”, the Police press release said.

“As many as youth deaths in Bemina due to drugs are caused by three drug dealers. Because they used to give them drugs.”Police press release read.

The three were idetified as Tabish Ahmad Dar, resident of Alamdar Colony Bemina, Arsalan Zarger, resident of Iqbal Abad, Bemina and Mohd Areeb, reesident of Nundresh Colony, Bemina
A under NDPS Act registered in Police Station Bemina and investigation set in motion, official said.
