A minor girl was killed after being hit by a speedy tipper in the Tik Bagh area of Ganderbal in central Kashmir, on Sunday.
An official speaking to The Kashmiriyat said that a tipper bearing the registration number JK 01 H 1258 hit a girl namely Adeeba Jan daughter of Nasser Ahmad Wani, a resident of Wayil in Ganderbal, causing critical injuries to her.
The seven-year-old was shifted to District hospital in Ganderbal for treatment, however, the doctors declared her brought dead and handed over the body to her parents for last rites, the official said.
A case under relevant sections of law has been registered at a local police station and further investigation into the case has been started.
