The Meteorological department of Jammu Kashmir predicted Rain/ snow over the middle and higher reaches of Kashmir in first week of November.
Director of Meteorological Department Sonam Lotus said that light to Moderate Rain/Snowfall over the plains and higher reaches of JK is very likely at many places of JK, and predictability chances are 75%.
As per the Kashmir Weather, mostly dry weather is expected till 31 October, however, a Western Disturbance may cause light rain/snow activities in JK on 31st night and 01 November.
Thereafter, between 05 and 10 November, there are chances of moderate rain/snow activities as back-to-back WDs will continue to affect JK.
It is still too early to make any accurate predictions since there are many days to go before then, Kashmir weather said.
To be on the safe side, farmers should begin harvesting crops and cutting unwanted branches of trees, as a precautionary measure.
