As Election fever grips India, politicians across party lines have resorted to politicking of almost every issue, from the death of soldiers to the alleged air strikes in Pakistan’s Balakot, India goes to polls in seven phases, starting 11 April with the counting scheduled for 23 May.
On March 01, Pintu Singh, a soldier of Central Reserve Police Force was killed during an encounter in Kupwara District of North Kashmir, however the news of his death was not revealed to his family, Bihar Live reported.

On the same day, Bhartiya Janta Party had announced that the March 3 rally would be the grandest rally of the party to be organized in Patna, the rally was later addressed by the Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi.

Live Bihar Quoting Sources said that the news of the death of CRPF soldier was not told to his family, to fix the limelight on Modi’s Grand rally. “The Government did not want the shift of focus from the BJP rally to the slain CRPF soldier, Pintu Singh.”

Pintu Singh’s body was brought to the airport at Patna airport at 8.00 p.m, but in the meantime no face of the ruling parties reached the dead body of the slain CRPF man.
On Monday, at least 200 writers have signed a join petition asking Indian citizens to vote against Bhartiya Janta Party in the upcoming general elections, however with the level of campaigning and Media management the ruling party has managed to uphold makes it unlikely that BJP will loose the upcoming general elections.
Moreover, the Indian National Congress which is one of the biggest national parties in India does not seem to be in a mood to join the ‘Maha Ghatbandhan’ (Coalition of all groups), which has joined hands to “save institutions of India.” Arvind Kejriwal from Delhi, Chandra Babu Naidu from Andhra Pradesh, Akilesh Singh Yadav from Uttar Pradesh have in various live programs said that they have not received any formal invites from Congress. “We are ready to support them though, if they want us to and introduce hands of friendship towards us,” Akilesh Singh Yadav recently told an Indian news channel.
Sources in Aam Aadmi Party of Delhi say that, “The Congress is in no mood to save the nation, but they want to save their party, They believe that they are the largest party in India and forming alliances with smaller, regional groups will dent their image, and might create problems in the near future.”
Meanwhile various NGOs in India have also geared up to defeat BJP, however the Congress leaders have shown less interest in the support offered by various NGOs who want to fight “extremism.”
