A girl on Monday evening attempted suicide by jumping into river Jhelum in Sopore town of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
Eyewitnesses told The Kashmiriyat that a girl in her 20’s jumped into river Jhelum at Chankhan area of Sopore Village in North Kashmir, however timely action by the police saved the girl.
Meanwhile police has registered a case and further investigation has been taken up.
In a separate incident, A tourist from Harayna died of a heart attack at tourist resort Gulmarg in north Kashmir Baramulla District.
According to reports a 43 year old tourist from Harayna died due to heart attack on Monday. reports said that deceased identified as Pawan Kumar (43) son of Krishan Chand Kumar resident of Fareedabad Harayna.
Meanwhile police in this regard has registered a report.
