At least seventeen (17) persons have died and several injured in a road accident at Assar area of Doda district in Chenab valley.
Locals told The Kashmiriyat that on Wednesday a bus registered under the number JK02 CN 6555 met an accident near Trungal Assar in Doda as it was on the way from Kishtwar to Jammu.
They said that a total of 50 persons were wounded during the road accident who were rushed to the hospital. “Seventeen have succumbed to their injuries,” an official said.
“We do not know the exact number of casualities, but we are trying to rescue the dead many bodies are lying scattered on the road near the passenger vehicle,” a volunteer of Ababil told The Kashmiriyat.
