Tral Flooded by People- People from As Far as Kupwara Reach to Offer Funeral to Zakir Musa

Amid incessant rains, an ocean of people has reached Noorpora area in Tral, the native of slain Militant commander, Zakir Rashid Bhat who was killed during an encounter with Government Forces on Thursday night.

Eyewitnesses told The Kashmiriyat that despite restrictions in Pulwama, Awantipora, Srinagar, Anantnag and Budgam as a precautionary measure, a sea of mourning women and men have thronged Noorpora to attend the last rites of the slain Militant commander.

Amid a sea of people that has been flooding Tral since yester night, the body of Zakir Musa was handed over to his family members to perform his last rites, Eyewitnesses say hundreds of youth spent nights on streets amid heavy downpour to get a last glimpse of Zakir Musa, the Ansar Ghazwat ul Hind commander.

Zakir was killed during an encounter with Government Forces in Dadasara area of Tral during an encounter which had started few minutes ahead of Iftaar, the encounter continued for nearly 6 hours after which Zakir’s body was found from the encounter site along with an AK47 and a Rocket Launcher, an Official told The Kashmiriyat.

Curfew like restrictions have been imposed in most parts of the Kashmir valley amid a complete shutdown and a ban on Mobile internet services, Also educational institutes and train services have been shut for the day.
