
Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Kashmir Vijay Kumar said that police have received a tip-off about the presence of Lashkar-e-Toiba (TRF) chief Abbas in the Chanapora area of Srinagar after which an alert has been sounded.
“We received inputs about Lashkar (TRF) chief Abbas’s presence in the Chanapora area of Srinagar. An alert has been sounded and active vigil is being maintained,” IGP Kashmir told a press conference at Srinagar, as per news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO).
He said frisking has been intensified and all means of intelligence are in active mode,
