A Truck Transporting bovines to the Kashmir valley was set ablaze by a group of youth on Srinagar- Jammu Highway near Ramban area.
Sources told The Kashmiriyat that a group of youth intercepted a truck carrying cattle into the Kashmir valley and later set it on fire, however the cattle were recovered by the local Police.
Nearly two dozen bovine were rescued from the truck before it was set ablaze, police officials said.
As the news of cattle being transported into the valley youth gathered at the highway and raised pro Hindu and Anti Government slogans.
Soon after the tempers ran high and the truck was set ablaze post which the traffic was suspended for nearly two hours on the National Highway.
