Two army soldiers killed in Israeli aggression: Iran

The Iranian Army has confirmed the deaths of two soldiers in an Israeli airstrikes in Iran.

The Army identified the two soldiers as Major Hamzeh Jahandideh and Sergeant Mohammad-Mehdi Shahrokhifar, stating they were killed while defending against missile strikes from Israel in the early hours of Saturday morning.

In an official statement, the Army described the soldiers’ actions as a sacrifice to protect the nation’s security and prevent harm to Iran’s interests.

The strikes reportedly targetted military sites in Tehran, as well as the provinces of Ilam and Khuzestan, causing minimal damage.

Iranian air defense forces responded to the attack, claiming to have successfully intercepted and neutralized the incoming missiles.

Media outlets downplayed the scope of the damage, with officials emphasizing that life had quickly returned to normal in affected areas.

The Civil Aviation Organization also confirmed that air traffic had resumed after a brief suspension, and Tehran’s Oil Refining Company refuted rumors of damage to its facilities.

This Israeli operation follows heightened tensions in the region, with recent retaliatory actions from Iran in response to Israeli strikes. Iran’s military continues to investigate the extent of the damage caused by the pre-dawn assault.

International condemnation of the Israeli aggression has been swift, with several regional governments criticizing the escalation of military actions.

Despite the attack, public life across Iran has remained largely unaffected, with authorities assuring citizens of continued safety and stability.

Earlier this month, Iran launched a major retaliatory strike against Israel, targeting military and intelligence bases across the occupied Palestinian territories following the assassination of key political and military figures, including Hamas political leader Ismail Haniyeh.

The Iranian operation, named “True Promise II,” involved 200 ballistic missiles and inflicted significant damage on Israeli forces.
