
Two persons have been arrested for assaulting a truck driver in the Indian state of Punjab.
A couple of goons assaulted a Kashmiri truck driver Sahil Iqbal from Kulgam district at toll plaza Mukerian in Hoshiarpur Punjab.
Taking strong notice of the incident, J&K Truck Operators Welfare Union appealed to LG Manoj Sinha to intervene and get the accused arrested.
The victim who was hit with a rod on his head has received multiple stitches.
An FIR vide number 173/2022 IPC has been registered in this regard. The matter is being dealt with as per the law, Jammu Kashmir Students Union National Convener Nasir Khuehami said while quoting DSP Mukerian Kulwinder Virk. (KNT)
