Two die of electrocution while saving goods from flooded market in Anantnag town

Two persons lost their lives due to an electric shock while attempting to save goods from a flooded market in Ganjiwara area near Achabal Adda of Anantnag town on Wednesday.

Officials said that the incident occurred when the victims came in contact with a live wire while trying to retrieve belongings from inundated shops.

Rescue teams rushed to the spot, but both were declared dead. Authorities have urged people in flood-affected areas to exercise extreme caution, particularly near submerged electric installations.

Earlier today, 75 sheep were reported dead as a result of the severe weather conditions in Shankarpora Dooru. – (KNC)
