Jammu Kashmir Police on Friday claimed to have arrested two drug peddlers and recovered charas from their possession.
“Police is taking proactive steps against the peddling of drugs in northern Kashmir’s Bandipora district targeting those involved in drug dealings,” the Police said in a statement.
Detailing the incident, Police said that 650 grams of charas were recovered from two individuals identified as Shabir Ahmed Reshi resident of Buthoo, Bandipora and Ishfaq Ahmed Bhat resident of Bagh, Bandipora.
The Jammu Kashmir Police has registered an FIR in this regard and investigation has also been taken up.
