Two government teachers killed in Shopian road accident

Two government teachers lost their lives in a tragic road accident in the Largam area of Shopian in south Kashmir

Locals told The Kashmiriyat that an accident occurred in Largam, Shopian, when a vehicle collided with a motorcycle carrying two individuals.

Riyaz Ahmad Dar, son of Muhammad Ibrahim Dar from Kundalan, Shopian, died at the scene of the accident. Sajad Ahmad Shah, son of Ghulam Muhammad Shah from New Colony Largam, sustained injuries and was immediately referred to SKIMS, Soura, for treatment.

Unfortunately, Sajad Ahmad Shah succumbed to his injuries on the way to the hospital.

Both individuals were government teachers, they said.

The police have taken cognizance of the incident and are investigating further.
