Two Indian Army men posted near India-China border in Arunachal Pradesh missing for 14 days

Two Indian army soldiers deployed on the India-China border in Arunachal Pradesh have been missing for the last 14 days.

Harendra Negi along with Prakash Singh Rana were reported missing on May 28. The soldiers were deployed at the Thakla post on the Indo-China border in Arunachal Pradesh.

Mamta Rana, wife of Prakash Rana, told India Today that the army officials called her on May 29 and informed her that her husband had gone missing on May 28.

The second phone call came on June 9 and they told me that both the soldiers were believed to have drowned in the river, said Mamta.

Meanwhile, the BJP MLA from Sahaspur, Sahdev Singh Pundir, met Prakash Singh Rana’s family at their Sainik colony residence on Friday.

“I have spoken to the Union Minister of State for Defence Ajay Bhatt about it and he has assured me that something will be done,” Pundir told PTI.

Pundir said details of the missing jawan had been sent to the Union Minister.( PTI)
