With an aim to provide quality and effective medicine to general public and on the special directions from the worthy District Development Commissioner Kulgam, a team of officials from Drug Control, Revenue, Municipality, headed by Tehsildar Kulgam conducted surprise inspections of Medical Shops/Clinics around District Hospital Kulgam, and during the inspections two Medical Shops were closed on spot; Al Dua Medicate and Usmania medicate. Furthermore, many Medical Shops were Show Caused for different violation of Drug laws.
Moreover 12 drug samples have been collected and sent for analysis purpose to Drug laboratory Srinagar to ensure safe and quality medicine are available in the market.
It is pertinent that in the previous month of July 2022, four medicates were suspended/ closed down many show caused notices issued by Drug Control Department in coordination with the Tehsildar Kulgam and SHO, Police Station, Kulgam, for contravention of various provisions of Drug laws.
Furthermore, during the inspection Chemists were sanitized concerning adherence to the conditions of Drug Licences and were warned to desist from unethical practices
