Two militants have been killed in an encounter that broke out between militants and government forces in Waghama Village of Bijbehara in South kashmir’s Anantnag district on Tuesday morning.
A Police official speaking to The Kashmiriyat said that the gunfight broke out after a Cordon and Search Operation was launched in the area following specific inputs about the presence of the militants.
As forces approached towards the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon the search party, which was retaliated, thus triggering an encounter.
In the ensuing encounter,two militants were killed, he said. As per initial reports available to The Kashmiriyat that duo are associates of ISJK.
Internet has been snapped in the district yet again.
On Monday morning, three Militants were killed here in an encounter in Ranipora area, mobile internet remained snapped off for the whole day.
