Two militants were killed during the encounter between militants and Government forces in the Kanjiullar area of south Kashmir’s Shopian district.
Official sources told The Kashmiriyat that on Tuesday night a joint group of RR, CRPF, and Jammu Kashmir Police after receiving inputs about militant presence in Kanjiullar of Shopian, launched a cordon and search operation.
The hiding militants opened fire on the troopers during the cordon, triggering an encounter.
During the exchange of gunfire, two militants were killed, who are yet to be identified.
After night-long lull, Firing Resumes in Kulgam
In another encounter that raged in the Mishipora area of Kulgam’s Redwani belt firing has resumed between militants and Government forces after a night-long lull.
One among the trapped militant is responsible of Rajni Bala a school teacher, Police said.
