Two Militant have been killed in the encounter broke out between militants and Government forces in Tiken area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
Earlier, An official told The Kashmiriyat that a joint team of Indian Army’s 55 RR, CRPF and Jammu Kashmir Police on Wednesday morning launched a cordon and search operation on a tip-off about the movement of militants in this Pulwama area.
He said that as the joint teams of forces approached towards the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired, which was retaliated, triggering an encounter.
During the exchange of gunfire, two Militants have been killed, who are from the Al Badr militant outfit, during the exchange of gunfire, one civilian was also injured.
The civilian is being treated at a local hospital and is said to be stable.
The Government Forces are still conducting searches at the site of the encounter, Sources told The Kashmiriyat.
