Three government force personnel including 2 CRPF personnel and a cop suffered injuries during the ongoing encounter between government forces and militants in Beshembar Nagar of Central Kashmir’s Srinagar district on Sunday.
Police officials said that two militants were killed during the initial exchange of fire.
On Sunday, the joint team of Police and CRPF launched a cordon and search operation in Beshembar Nagar during which the hiding militants fired upon the forces, triggering off a gunfight, Police said.
During the exchange of gunfire, two militants have been killed and three Government force personnel injured.
The trio has been shifted to the hospital for treatment,
