Two Militants have been reportedly killed in An encounter that started between Militants and Government Forces in the Khudpora Memander area of Arwani in South Kashmir’s Shopian District on Saturday evening.
Officials told The Kashmiriyat that 44 RR of Indian Army, SOG of Jammu Kashmir Police and CRPF jointly launched the Anti Militancy operation.
Earlier Forces had launched a Cordon and Search Operation in the area upon receiving a specific input about the presence of Militants in this Shopian area, Sources told The Kashmiriyat.
2-3 Local Militants from South Kashmir were believed to be holed up in the area, Locals told The Kashmiriyat.
They said that the firing has stopped now as the forces are conducting a search operation in the area.
As per initial reports the Militants have been identified as Irfan from khudpora Shopian and Showkat Ahmed
