Two Militants have surrendered during an encounter has started between militants and Government forces at Tangdounu locality of Kulgam in South Kashmir early on Tuesday.
An official told The Kashmiriyat that on Tuesday morning RR of the Indian Army, CRPF and Jammu Kashmir Police after receiving inputs about Militant presence in the area laid a cordon and search operation in this Kulgam area.
The cordon continued for nearly two to three hours, during which the hiding Militants opened fire on the troopers triggering an encounter.
“During an encounter between militants and Police/SFs at Tongdounu, Kulgam, 02 local militants of LeT surrendered on appeal of families. Incriminating materials including 02 pistols & ammunition recovered.”
The Arrested militants were involved in the killing of the PSO of the PDP leader.
