Two persons arrested for selling dead chicken in Anantnag town

Two persons were arrested on Tuesday for allegedly selling dead chicken in the Kadipora area of Anantnag town of south Kashmir.

The incident came to the limelight when locals spotted a local chicken seller slaughtering a dead chicken to which he objected and the shopper duly apologized.

Police officials told The Kashmiriyat that a shopkeeper was arrested in the Gajnag Kadipora area of Anantnag town, adding, that the shop has been locked down.

Further investigations have been launched into the incident, he said.
