Two Policemen injured after attacks by sand miners in Jammu

On Tuesday, officials reported that two policemen were injured in an attack carried out by a group of individuals involved in illegal sand mining near the Tawi River, located on the outskirts of Jammu City.

The incident occurred on Monday evening, and one person has been arrested in connection with the attack, according to the police.

The incident unfolded when a complaint was made regarding illegal mining in the Kukdiyal area. In response, a team from the mining department, accompanied by the police, swiftly reached the location.

As the police officers attempted to confiscate the mining machinery, a large number of people associated with the illegal miners arrived at the scene and launched an attack on them.

Additional police forces were immediately dispatched to the area, resulting in the arrest of one individual. The authorities were able to seize the machines used by the illegal miners.

A case has been registered in relation to the incident, and efforts are underway to apprehend the remaining suspects involved in the attack.
