Two youths from Jammu Kashmir were arrested by the police in the Jaisalmer area near the Rajasthan border on Friday evening.
The duo identified as Jameel Iqbal and Maruf Hussain, both residents of Poonch were arrested for “collecting donations in the prohibited area without permission.”
The two have been taken for interrogation by a Joint Investigation Committee.
Police said that the police post at Khuiyala got information about the movement of the two youths after which the duo was detained.
Last year, in August, the Rajasthan police detained two Poonch in the territorial jurisdiction of Jaisalmer district after they had collected as donations for a madrasa.
