On Thursday, the news came to the fore that two teachers had been shot dead in the Safakadal area of Srinagar, Jammu Kashmir.
One of the slain was a female teacher. Both were reportedly shot dead at Government Boys Higher Secondary School, Idgah, Srinagar.
It has emerged that the slain male teacher was a Pandit – Deepak, while the female teacher was a Sikh – Satinder Kaur.
Sources say that Satinder Kaur was a resident of Allochibagh while Deepak was a resident of Jammu.
Both were shifted to SKIMS, reportedly, where they were declared brought dead on arrival.
The incident is the latest and comes a day after three civilians were shot dead within an hour in the valley.
