Two Bodies Recovered from Nallah in Gurez

The police on Saturday said that they have recovered two unidentified bodies in Tulail area of Gurez in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district.

Sub-divisional police officer (SDPO) Gurez Peerzada Ajaz told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), that two bodies were recovered from a Nallah in Malangham area of Tulail in Gurez sector today afternoon.

One of them has been identified as an alleged Jaish militant Nisar Ahamed Rather from Dadsara Tral area of Pulwama district. The other was a truck driver from Ddgripora who went missing in Delhi, back in 2018 and had allegedly joined Hizbul Mujahideen.

“We have taken both the bodies to Gurez hospital for legal formalities” he said.

Meanwhile, sources said that police and army have also recovered some arms and ammunition from the bodies.

“Both the persons might have died due to drowning. Further details are being ascertained,” they said—(KNO).
