An important meeting of Ummat e Islami was called today by its vice chairman Mir Muntazir Gul in South Kashmir’s Islamabad town. The members of Political wing participated in the meeting besides the district presidents of the socio political amalgam.
Mir Muntazir Gul briefed the members about the deteriorating health of Mirwaiz Qazi yasir who is undergoing treatment in a hospital. He asked the members of the amalgam including those of the religious wing to pray for the speedy recovered of the ailing Mirwaiz of South Kashmir.
He asked people to pray for the well being of the young Chairman of Ummat e Islami. “We request people to hold Dua Majalis for the recovery of Mirwaiz Qazi Yasir.” Syed Manzoor, the representative of Jammu Kashmir Ummat e Islami in Azad Kashmir also prayed for the speedy recovery of Mirwaiz Qazi Yasir.
The General Secretary of Ummat e Islami, Waheed Ahmed Khan took stock of the activities of the party and said meetings are being held in various areas of South Kashmir to strengthen the freedom struggle in various nooks and corners of the Kashmir valley. He said that the members should work harder for strengthening the movement in the absence of the chairman, Mirwaiz Qazi Yasir.
The spokesman of the amalgam, Bilal Ahmed Mir said demanding the release of Political prisoners said that more and more people are being caged. He demanded the release of Shakeel Bakshi, Mushtaq ul Islam, Nayeem Khan, Shabir Shah, Asiya Andrabi.
