
Government Unani Medical College of Kashmir has got permission to start the admission process for the first batch of Bachelor of Unani Medicine and Surgery (BUMS) course in the year 2020-21.
There will be 60 seats in this course. An official spokesman gave this information, NDTV Reported.
The spokesman said that the Union Ministry of AYUSH has issued a “permission letter” to start the course. Earlier, following the recommendations of the Central Medicine Council of India (CCIM), a letter of intent was issued to open a new Unani Medical College in the name of Government Unani Medical College and Hospital with 60 seats in Kashmir.
According to that the CCIM inspected the institute on December 1 and sent its recommendations and report to the ministry.
CCIM observed that the college fulfills the notified and approved norms of obtaining a “permission letter” to start a new Unani college.
